Carlos Hernandez, DDS, MD
Dr. Carlos Hernandez was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in Finance and Biology, graduating with high honors.
After graduation, he attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, a distinction reserved for the top 10% of students in his class.
After completing dental school, Dr. Hernandez obtained his medical degree from UT Health San Antonio, where he graduated at the top of his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He remained in San Antonio to complete his general surgery internship, his training in adult and pediatric anesthesia, and his professional training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During residency, Dr. Hernandez gained extensive training and experience in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including dentoalveolar surgery, implantology, oral pathology, facial trauma and reconstruction, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders and orthognathic surgery.
Dr. Hernandez believes in a patient-centered approach, taking the time to understand each individual’s unique needs and concerns. He is dedicated to providing his patients high-quality and compassionate care in a comfortable and professional setting.
Dr. Hernandez is fluent in English and Spanish. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, as well as playing golf, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
